Floor Hockey Inc. is committed to providing our hockey
players with the highest quality sports equipment available
which is included in the floor hockey program at no extra
cost. Even the hockey shirts are at no costs to the children.
Floor hockey is more than just a sport; it’s a journey. Our superstar instructors are the driving force behind this journey, helping kids build confidence, foster a love for physical activity, and learn valuable life lessons. They are the bridge between potential and performance, helping young athletes unlock their true capabilities.
Floor hockey is a fast-paced team sport that is similar to ice hockey but is played on a flat surface, typically indoors. Hockey is a fun, friendly activity that offers children between the ages 6-12 an opportunity to make new friends, get physically active, build important skills like hand-eye coordination and strategic thought and create memories that last a lifetime. Hockey is also a great sport for building character, and it gives those involved the opportunity to learn the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility.
For safety reasons and to reduce the risk of injuries, we utilize a soft plastic puck made of felt.
Additionally, each child receives a hockey shirt to take home. We also supply floor hockey sticks and a net that is to remain in the gym for the duration of play. To play floor hockey, you’ll need running shoes, and appropriate clothing for physical activity.
Floor hockey teams typically consist of six players on the floor at a time, including a goalie. Some variations of the game may have different numbers of players, but six-on-six is the most common format.
The basic rules of floor hockey include no high sticking (raising the stick above waist level), no physical contact with opponents, and nobody checking. We teach positive sportsmanship.
You can improve your floor hockey skills by practicing stickhandling, passing, shooting, and defensive techniques.
